As anyone who has done a build with the Micro Scisky can attest, it does not lend itself to easily mounting flat on the frame. I tried it this way for a while, but after a few crashes whilst trying to learn FPV, I had a need to protect the FC from damage. This thing is the result. The base has standoffs to allow the controller to sit flat without the need to get creative with the mounting tape. The base can be used stand-alone, or with the top for added protection.
The top is designed to accommodate micro JST connectors on the motor wires. The Scisky has what I would consider a design flaw where the motor pads are in opposite directions. I just soldered all the micro JST connectors on in the same orientation and swapped the motor wires around in the female connectors on two of the motors. If the connectors are mounted to the board such that wire swapping is not required, the top probably will not fit, as it was designed for all connectors mounted in the same orientation.
