Basic and bare minimum case for the iUniker 2.8-inch VGA Touchscreen LCD for the Raspberry Pi Zero.
This very small LCD is directly soldered to the Pi, although you might be more likely to say the Pi is soldered to the LCD since the LCD is larger. Either way, it makes for a very tight and compact package... if you skip the battery :-) I managed to get the thickness down to 17mm with this configuration.
The first version I am releasing is the most minimal I can make it... which means that I remove the black plastic separator part of the 40-pin header... a simple... but tedious task. Go slow and be mindful of the glass LCD as you apply force to gradually work the plastic separator off the pins. If you're careful you should also be able to remove the plastic and mount the Pi right up against the back of the LCD.
To be safe, I applied a layer of tape over the back of the LCD's circuit board.... just to make sure nothing could accidentally short.
Then I fashioned two "adapt
