Milner Pattern Surveyor Rifle

A derivative of the Milner Pattern Laser Rifle. The large scope mounted is actually an advanced Auspex, and draws power from the weapons magazine. The scope requires power to operate, and you cannot see straight through it when turned off. The scope is actually a large electro optical sensor with a viewer, capable of seeing in multi-spectral, thermal, and low light modes. These can be electronically magnified 1, 4, or 8 times.

Large knobs on the side allow the operator to easily change modes, but more important the sensor system acts as an auspex/surveyor. It can detect and produces arrows with ranges at the corners of the screen pointing towards sensor contacts.

There is also a radar sensor that can detect objects and display their shape of everything within a 120 cone in front of the sensor for 90 feet. This can be used in absolute darkness, fog, or when an enemy produces no visible or heat signatures.
