This is a very small filament runout sensor which uses a 12x6x6 mm micro-roller switch.
Tolerances have been reduced to maintain everything in place with pressure. So, it’s a very tight fit. You can use a rubber hammer to GENTLY press the lid for closing it.
Just put it floating near the filament spool.
