Mini lathe dummy gear

A mini lathe change gear with no teeth. Curious.
It merely exists as a spacer washer for when using an idler gear. It has looser tolerance so it is easier to slip on and off the shaft. That's it. Solves a very minor annoyance.

Maybe I'll design some snail shell shaped change gear next for something actually fun. Get some wobbly thread patterns. Or some gears missing teeth for stair step sorta thread patterns. Could make some interesting decorative patterns that way. Been playing around too much with sewing machine cams lately.
