This is a modification for mini lathe to increase turnable diameter and length. What my one is set to is up to 90mm in diameter, and 250 in length. In this case, no hardware modification of the parts from original lathe are involved, you just need 4 screw M4x20, 4 4mm normal washers and 4 M4 nuts, 4 screws M6x20 and 2 screws M6x35 with washers. For all of the M6 screws you will be using the original square nuts from the lathe.
Standard lathe axis height is 27.5mm, if you increase axis height by 20mm it will be 47.5mm resulting in a maximum turnable diameter of 95mm. The biggest square bar you can turn is about 70x70mm. To have a rough idea of the diameter you will get starting from a square bar, multiply 90 x 0.7 (about 63mm cylinder). Starting with hexagonal (0.86) or octagonal bar (0.92) can get your diameter up to 77 or 82mm.
Following the same calculations, if you want a final 100mm diameter round cylinder, starting from square bars, you need to multiply 100 by 1.41, so you will
