I use motion activated nightlights for fall prevention. I like the motion activated types as they keep the room dark for sleep quality, but they wake up when motion activates them. I've used Mr. Beams nightlights and they work OK although a few of them have failed over the years so I'm trying these inexpensive ones I got from Aliexpress (less than $2 each). The problem is that they don't have a holder or even a hole to hang them. They ship with some double sided tape that would probably take the paint off when they had to be removed for a battery change. These do work well, so I designed this holder that incorporates a magnet to simply snap onto to my stairway railing (or anything metallic). These use a 16mm X 5mm magnet secured with a small 4-40 flat top bolt and nut. You could just hang it on a nail as well. They do sell two types of these, bright white LED and a sleep safe warmer LED so the light will not interfere with melatonin production as the bright white LEDs can. I added a
