This is a variation that I made of traditional chess; hope you enjoy it. INTRODUCTION A king had two sons and five territories which he had to divide. To do this, he placed the two princes against each other in the best of five, whoever won would get three territories and the others only two. The king lent them each six members of his army and money to hire mercenaries. Each prince had at his disposal two watchtowers, two scouts and two guards lent by the king and four mercenaries, and two observers hired with the King's money. RULES The board is four-by-six. Princes start in the highest position (highest square). The four mercenaries go in the second row and in the three remaining squares during the five games this is for each player to make various combinations (Example: two explorers and a guard, an observer with a tower and a explorer, two watchtowers and an observer, and other combinations.) Thus, allowing each game to be completely different and requiring each player to devise a new way of playing. There are three ways to win one of the five games. 1. Conquest: The prince reaches the initial position of the opposing prince. 2. Check: checkmate the other player's prince piece. 3. Mastery: This is when you finish off all the opposing player's pieces except the prince, in this case you take him hostage and to pay the bail, you choose a category of piece (except the mercenaries and the prince) which the player cannot use again in the rest of the games. Pieces with traditional movement: Prince (the piece with the crown): works the same as the king.Explorer (horse): works the same as the horse. Watchtower (tower): works the same as the tower. Guard (the one with a shield): works the same as the bishop.Pieces with new movement: Mercenaries (single piece): the same as a pawn only that the initial movement of two spaces is removed.
