Minimal-ish chess set

Another chess set. These pieces more-or-less follow the official size regs for tournament chess pieces. The look of this set is heavily inspired by the BCE ("best chessmen ever") set, though I've made some modifications (for instance, adding a cross to the king and a slash to the bishop) and have altered the knight design. The bases of the pieces are hollow to fit standard 3/4 oz lead egg fishing sinkers.

The cross/pins atop king/queen/bishop as well as the bottom caps of all pieces are printed separately, allowing you to accent your pieces.

Printing:

General notes: Print bottom caps for all pieces. You can use low infill since the pieces will be weighted later. I used 0.15 mm layer height.

Material: Whatever. The set I made for myself uses Protopasta's matte fiber filament).

King, queen, bishop: no supports required, but you will have to print the ornaments (cross/pins) separately.

Rook, pawn: no supports.

Knight: requires supports. I used the Meshmixer tree supp
