MiniPivot38

UPDATE: A new and improved MiniPivot Rev1. More compact and redesigned to resist deformation when there's high pressure on the through bolt.. All in all a much improved model.

Yet another component of the lamp, the MiniPivot38 is designed to connect 3/8" hardwood dowel to the lamp head or another dowel. Due to the small surface area of the mating pivots it is meant for lightweight applications. A 35mm M5 hex head bolt and compatible wing nut joins the two members. I printed these with 100% infill on a raft.

Originally I made this as two files: one with the hexagonal recess and one without, but the single file works fine for both parts. Simply orient the unwanted hex toward the mating planes.

After some testing I take back my comment that the single file works well. There's just not enough mating surface area in this thing unless only one hexagonal recess is used. I have added a new file to correct this. Print one of each and the friction between the parts will be greatly inc
