Received my first pair of Mitutoyo calipers for my birthday and wanted a somewhat better and more compact case to carry them around in, since I'm now using them everywhere. So of course I then spent my birthday and then some working on this case,, but hey that's what I like to do so it was a great birthday. I wanted the fit around the calipers to be as tight as possible to help prevent them from being jostled around. I also added some magnets to hold at the jaws and down the shaft/slide, but made sure not to have any under the electronics portion. It has space for 3 LR44 batteries, and to not waste space I added a small compartment if there's something else you want to add. The lid has a series of hexagon cut outs across one side to help reduce filament used and because of course hexagons are the best-agons. I also added 4 locating pins in each corner to help line up and keep the lid on, they also can slot into the bottom of the case for a place to store the lid when in use
