I envisioned Zanbar as a figure of arrogant malice, rising high above the battlefield to rain destruction upon his victims. My goal was to depict him mid-cast, physically supported by the iconic Dungeons & Dragons spell, Cloudkill. To bring this verticality to life, I used a substantial amount of Milliput and salvaged sprue offcuts to construct a towering, twisting plume of toxic emerald vapor.
