The body of The Butcher is a map of scarifications and disproportionate purulent pimples all over his sweaty, pallid flesh. Looking at his back you see the reason for his hunchback: a leg, a living arm (probably from Jan Blackleaf) and the baffled and mouthing head of poor Maskins protrude from his back as if sewn to his skin, but with no needlework at sight. He turns his face to you and shows his sharpened teeth, looking at you with an intensity as only the absence of eyelids can provide. Cont
