The Stug III G known as the Sturmi by the Finns was purchased from Germany during WW2 as the Winter War had proved that the Finns existing armour was antiquated. As the Finns loved to do, many modifications were made which makes the Finnish Sturmi distinct from its German counterparts. Most recognisable of these changes are the addition of the rear stowage box, logs along the side of the hull and the addition of concrete reinforcement to the frontal armour.
