DESCRIPTION Stug III G pivoted schurzen concrete armor The final and by far the most produced version of the StuG series. The G version used the hull of the Panzer III Ausf. M and, after 1944, was fitted with a second machine gun. Later versions were fitted with the Saukopf (pig's snout) gun mantlet, which was more effective than the original mantlet at deflecting target fire.
