We were tasked in creating an innovative design to a 3D printer. The Mobile Replicator prints on an infinite Y due to it being on wheels. Doing this allows us to print longer objects. The Mobile Replicator also uses a paste extruder.
Our team first had to make a RepRap Prusa Mendel i3 and from that we learned how 3D printers worked and how they are constructed.
