This cap is designed to hold those firework igniters you typically see on Ali express type sites. Those igniters have a plastic 6mm sleeve over the ignition portion and are too big to fit directly into the nozzle of standard model rocket engines like Estes. ALSO NOTE: DO NOT USE THOSE CHINESE FIREWORK IGNITERS WITH A STANDARD MODEL ROCKET ELECTRIC LAUNCHER THAT HAS A TEST LIGHT!!!!! USING THE TEST LIGHT WILL SET OFF THE IGNITER!!!!! The igniters, unlike standard solar igniters, only require a tiny amount of current to set them off, a single AA battery has enough current to set them off. In practice you put the igniter in the cap and slide the cap onto the engine, then connect your launch wires, etc.,, the cap should stay in place by itself, no need for tape or anything else. Upon launch the engine will blow the cap down and off and away from the launching rocket. I consider them disposable one shot deals but you may be able to reuse them.
