Model Rocket Engine Magazine

I store my model rocket engines in a .30-caliber ammo can for safety reasons. However, I needed a way to organize the different engine types while still making them easy to access. I designed this magazine to hold 16 engines. You will need two rubber bands and two 4mm screws. Simply insert the 4mm screws in the follower and then tension the magazine using the rubber bands.

When you remove an engine, the remaining engines will move up for the next use. A standard .30-caliber ammo can will hold 6 double-width magazines and 1 single-width magazine providing room for 104 estes engines.

UPDATE 10-12-2025: After taking the original version to the field, the top retainer broke so I made a stronger version. (Rocket Engine Double Magazine v2). This version is much more resilient to being dropped.
