Model Rocket

A customizable model rocket that I designed just for fun. Designed to be printed (slowly) without supports. Nose cone is separate so a parachute can be installed. Print with low infill for nose cone weight reduction. Engine is expected to be held in place (to prevent the engine from being ejected vs the nose cone when the ejection charge goes off) with a bent paper clip installed through one of the smaller side lugs (the large side lug is for a launch rod).

SCAD file included for customization Default dimensions are for an Estes type A, B, or C engine size (18mm x 70mm).

I'd suggest using non-flammable filament just in case.

The "assembled" version of the STL is not meant to be printed, but just to show what the completed model looks like.

BTW, I've got another rocket design here based on Blue Origin's New Shepard, but it hasn't been adapted (yet) to accept a model rocket engine: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5204493
