i printed the original design, but I had problems lowering the tool, the ring nut got stuck with the retaining clips. I decided to mod the part and add a flange on top, so there's no possibility of binding. to achieve this I configured the print to pause at the height of the last layer before the top flange, install the adjustment nut and continue printing over it. I sprayed some hairspray (the same I use on the glass bed) over the top part of the nut, in case the parts got adhered, with the intention of soaking it in water to dilute that layer, but it was not necessary, ii worked like a charm first try.
the file was modified in sketchUp directly from the original .STL, which is a crappy procedure and leaves a lot of very small holes and the piece is detected as not watertight in cura, put it prints fine. crappy but it is what it is
