I modified the stand so I could fit my little laser engraver under it, and so it fit a standard shelf size from BiMart (because I am cheeeap)
Dimensions on the shelf I used are 5/8" thick x 7-53/64" deep (nominal 8") x 23-1/2" long (nominal 24")
This stand has about 6-1/2" (165mm) clearance underneath, and adds two cable track grooves.
