I printed and built the original EEZTbotARM along with the ramp out of PLA. The plastic ball seemed too light and inconsistent and I wanted to try a steel ball of the same size. Unfortunately the jaws could not grip the heavier ball because the fingers had flat surfaces.
This is a modification to the fingers of the robot's jaws so that it can grip a round object better. The jaws have a concave surface so they can pick up a heavier steel ball bearing. This is not the best looking modification, but it works well.
