[1.0] Hello!
This project's purpose is to create a base for terrain making. The idea behind it is to create a flexible battlefield tiles, which you can freely rotate and move around, thus making almost endless possibilities of battlefield terrain's configurations. Raised bed allows to create holes, trenches, riverbeds. This was what always bothered me in battlefield terrains - lack of depth.
Open areas on tiles' sides are supposed to have neodymium magnets in them, with dimensions 8 mm x 4 mm x 1,2 mm (polarity across 1,2 mm side). This allows the tiles to snap together and hold next to each other when playing. On top of tile I attach foam board (usually 0,3-0,5 cm), but any will do, as long as it's height is consistent.
For tiles to work together as intended, they're not supposed to be joined to same letter. To achieve this, you need to add magnets alternately, and order on each type of tile need to be reversed.
So, magnet polarity would be:
Tile A: + - + - + - + -
Tile B
