Here is my take on a Chess Board.
I printed this with my Bambu P1S with AMS system so it can print the black and white squares while the base is plain gray. I printed the borders in brown.
This chess board is separated into 4 sections so even smaller printers can print them. I can only fit 3 tiles in my p1s. Same with the border pieces, only 3 at a time. Kind of frustrating.
These use OPTIONAL 3x2mm magnets to stay connected but a decent nudge will split the board. So I added an option to add toothpicks so that when put together it'll stay intact a little better.
I added a picture showing the polarity of the magnets, these are set in a way so no matter what face you put together, it'll stick. Basically on a given face, put the north side on the right, and south on the left. You can take a minimalist approach and just magnetize the ends of the borders. I hope this makes sense because I'm unable to explain it any other way.
