**Modular Chessboard**
This simple solution divides a full size chessboard into sixteen equally sized tiles that can be quickly assembled, disassembled, and conveniently stacked and organized on the provided stand.
The full chessboard requires:
```
• 4 Center Tiles
• 4 Corner Tiles
• 8 Side Tiles
• 32 "Light" Squares
• 32 "Dark" Squares
• 1 Storage Stand (optional)
```
The fully assembled board is 18.5" square, including the 1/4" frame. Individuals squares are regulation 2.25". When stacked up on the storage stand it is 6" tall.
Pictured chess pieces are [Dueling Spirals](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3645648).
**Note**: The individual squares fit very tightly on their tiles. To remove them I slide a butter knife under one side and twist to pop it up. I then slide the knife under the other side of the square and repeat to remove it.
**Edit**: Someone asked about the square options. This entire design was about choices. Choose your border colors. Choose y
