Modular Door Reader

A modular door access scanner design that allows multiple versions of door access scanners to be created by using as few plastic injection molds as possible. when ether the keypad or swipe are removed they are replaced with an insert piece. The main scanner housing contains the main PCB board that has a antenna attached. all inserts will have wires that will connect to this main PCB board through the interface of the parts. LED's will be mounted on the top and bottom of the main PCB board to be used to illuminate the "ENTRY" or "NO ENTRY". The light from these PCB's is split using the center rib on the scanner cover piece and is projected through the thinned plastic.
