Modular Nokia Lumia 820 Shell

This morning Nokia released the STL file for the 3D shell for the Lumia 820 phone under a CC-BY-NC-SA license!

My first thought was "THIS. IS. HUGE!"

This means that at least one more company has realized the awesomeness of crowd-sourced R&D and building a community around your product... I can't wait to see what the world will look like once it becomes possible for cottage industries to pop up around all sorts of consumer products.

And so, I have downloaded the file, and cut a rectangular hole in the back, which will allow modular pieces to be either booleaned in using 3D software, or printed as separate pieces and stuck into the shell of the phone.
