I drew inspiration for this from commercial parts bins.
My intent with this design was that you could arrange the bins however you wanted with 4 different sized bins. I've included some dividers for the bins that I adapted to fit these bins.
I cut the holes in the plates to save on filament and weight- however as an added bonus they could be used to mount the bins to a surface like a wall.
The plates snap together with clips like K'NEX pieces.
For each "cell" of your design you need a baseplate, a top plate, a backplate, your two side plates, and whatever appropriate connectors. Once you've build your bottom cell your top plate becomes the base of the next cell and the wall of one cell can act as the wall of another cell.
each cell uses 12 connectors but remember when planning your bin "cells" that those connectors could connect to 2, 3, or 4 different plates in various configurations.
if you want to take a clip off of a plate- the hollow space in the middle of the clip works
