I'm new to 3D printing, and my first serious attempt at 3D modelling is this modular portable watercolour kit. Based on the idea of an Altoids watercolour kit, but larger to accommodate more gear while still remaining portable. Designed in FreeCad.
The dimensions of this kit were chosen to be able to fit a Sakura Koi 4ml waterbrush, which seem to be fairly common and easy to come by. The box is designed to accommodate up to 3 interchangeable pans; there are multiple kinds of pans to choose from depending on the needs/preferences of the user, as well as a blank pan for use in remixes. There are optional pegs that can be used to mount pans off the side of the box to expand the footprint of the kit and allow access to everything in the kit at once without having to rummage around or swap out pans while in the middle of painting. Mix and match pans to get a combination that suits you!
