I was tired of filtering soldering fumes with my nose. That's why I created this soldering fume extractor, that you can print! This modular soldering fume extractor is designed to help remove fumes from your workspace using a standard 120 mm PC fan and an activated carbon filter. The modular design makes it easy to assemble, customize, and maintain. Features 𧩠Modular design for easy assembly and upgrades π¬οΈ Uses a standard 120 mm PC fan π§Ό Replaceable activated carbon filter β‘ Compatible with common 12 V power supplies π¨οΈ Easy to print with minimal supports Hardware Required 120 mm PC fan Activated carbon filter sheets 12 V DC power supply Fan speed controller On/Off switch (optional) DC barrel jack (screws that come with your fan) Hopefully it is simple enough to assemble yourself. Coarsefilter / carbon sheet filter can be used with sheets or fabrics. The "Finefilter" is meant for activated carbon grains/particles. If you use the finefilter option, you also need some kind of mesh or fabric to hold the carbon inside. I did make one from fine metal mesh, put activated carbon particles inside, and "soldered" the mesh into the plastic. However, most 12 V computer fans are not strong enough to pull air through something like this, so carbon sheets are better. The filler pieces are meant so that if you don't use all the space available for filter pieces, you can fill it with the filler pieces to improve the air channel (less turbulence, better airflow). Otherwise, the assembly should be straightforward. Modules you are using inside the case, electronics in the box, fan cover on the fan.
