Molecule Creation Kit

This model was created for the MakerEd Challenge

I created this model with the goal of giving students a clearer understanding of the bonds between elements. It's a simple yet effective design using spheres and sticks to illustrate the relationship between elements in a molecule. The element bodies and bonds can be color coded to distinguish the different elements and type of bond. In my experience having physical objects to look at and feel greatly improved my understanding of this matter. I hope that in the future, teachers can utilize the advancement of 3D printing to bring ideas similar to my own to the classroom.
