This heavy altar rises from the dust like a relic of a forgotten dynasty, its sides crowded with beasts, warriors, and curling script no living scholar can fully read. Adventurers say the carved scenes shift ever so slightly from night to night, as if retelling the story of an empire that bargained with something beneath the sands.
