Moon Bottle is a moon thremos. Able to maintain a T(mean)=20degC The Moon temperature will go from a Temperature(max)=116degC to a T(min)=-180degC included is a graph of the lunar surface temperature giving the shape of the curve. The T(mean)=-60degC The outer shell is made stiff by Carbon fiber and painted white for high albedo. Carbon fibers have several advantages: high stiffness, high tensile strength, high strength to weight ratio, high chemical resistance, high-temperature tolerance, and low thermal expansion. The crown, the interface between the lid and shell, is also carbon fiber in order to minimize the thermal bridging to the internal surfaces. The low thermal expansion will be most usefull with the threaded lid, preventing binding. Inside the shell would be in vaccum as vaccum has a r value of 25. The lid is where the mmrtg (Multi-Mission Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator) would have to be fitted. In order to have functional active thermal management we need a way to affect to contents, ei pump heat into it when the bottle is in shade for prolonged periods of time. or prevent excess heat from full sun exposure to absorb into the contents. the thermal injection/rejection system can probably integrated into a single cycle system.
