Moon Jar from Korea

The Korean Moon Jar, known as Dalhangari (달항아리 in Korean) is a quintessential masterpiece of the late Joseon Dynasty (17th–18th century) that captures the essence of Korean aesthetics. These large white porcelain vessels are celebrated for their subtle, milky-white glaze and a distinctive, slightly asymmetrical shape that resembles the full moon. Because of their immense size, they were typically created by joining two hemispherical bowls together, often leaving a faint, natural seam around the "waist" that adds to their organic charm.
