If you are like me, you have about 3429378492 empty spools. I found that Microcenter, and other outlets (that carry Inland filament) are starting to move to spoolless filament. (Not to mention that's where the price break is) I thought I would make an adapter that allows you to cut one of their spools in half and hotglue/epoxy this adapter in place. This will turn your old spools into new Masterspool goodness.
I like threads accurate, so there are two sets of files. Set 01 are the tight threads that I made on my Atom Delta printed in PLA at .1 layer height. (No supports, 15% infill, octet). If your machine isn't as accurate, you can use the 02 version. Those were modeled with slightly looser threads. One last thing. I made the mating cylinders a little taller than half the height, so your cuts on the spool don't need to be perfect. The printer surfaces will still mate correctly with about 2mm of cut slop.
Not all spools are the same, but I hope the center bore is the same,
