This type of alarm lock drains the battery if left permanently locked, not to mention that the alarm can be activated at any time. Therefore, it can't be left locked just anywhere on the motorcycle. This design keeps it open but secure, ensuring that if someone tries to steal it, it locks automatically and is impossible to remove without the key, even if the lock is open.

Just to clarify, this design is an adaptation of other models I've seen on the market, but they're sold at exorbitant prices.
