In germany you need a reflector for a street legal motorcycle. In germany they called Reflektor or Rückstrahler. Sometimes the police or TÜV is checking this.
The commercial product cost around 5-15 €, so i decided to buy a 1.50€ reflector and design a mount for it.
V1 (picture 1) is for mounting under the license plate. The most common solution but not very esthetic. The mm-disclosure (40, 42, 45, 48, 50) are the distances between the hole and the upper edge of the adhesive part. I used the 42 mm which is a little bit wobbly but had no problem until now.
V2 is for under-seat mounting you see on picture 3. In my opinion the better solution :). Two holes are needed in the covering to screw the mount. The m3-hole-distance is 13.5 mm, m4-hole-distance is 12 mm. I used washers for distribute the force evenly.
The reflector is a HELLA 8RA 004 412-021 with 70x31.5x5. Way to big but cheap :D
The red objects in the 123dx-files must be subtracted.
