A friend needed a motorized arm for his Bedroom TV because his room was too small and he wanted to be able to watch TV while on bed and on the Sofa.
The arm can slide left and right, flip out, extend, swing 180° and tilt 45° on one side (Sofa side, see pics), it can be modified to tilt on both sides, but it could be modified to tilt on both sides, my friend didn't need it, so I didn't decide it, because I wasn't sure if the arm would stay up right when the motors are off.
WARNING: This is not by any means a finished design, some modifications are required to become functional.
I will not be finishing this design because my friend changed his mind.
Some suggestions/instructions if you decide to use this design:
Use a current sense sensor on the TV power cable so that you can detect when TV is on and move it to the default viewing position (goo.gl/QTiDZy)
Use an IR sensor and some of the Unused buttons on your TV remote to change the viewing position (goo.gl/WKKUBT - g
