This was designed for a friend with a Carrera Veangeance mountain bike after we discovered the rear gear cable was 'strumming' on his tyre treads because the plastic cable guide on the bottom bracket was broken.

This design will probably fit many other bikes with a 45mm diameter bottom bracket.

Most standard guides have a 'bridge' over each cable so the cables have to be disconnected and threaded through but I have incorporated 'tabs' that allow the cables to be looped into position through a slot without disconnecting and re-threading them. If you find it difficult to loop the cables through the slot then you have the option to break the tabs off.

Note that once fitted, it may be necessary to adjust the gear cable length since this guide may shorten (or lengthen in the case of wear) the existing cable route.
