Hello,
I have created a "thing" that includes various mounting hardware to use with the props that you create. I used these items for my props this year and they seemed to work well for me. I did not create these items and am sharing them here for your use.
I use the Tee (or as labeled "3 way elbow") to make a rectangular 1/2" PVC frame that fits the prop I want to mount. I then attach the clips to my prop so that it will clip on to the created frame. The entire prop is now quite stable and can be mounted to a pole, post, wall or however you want to do that.
I will admit, the rectangle frame, isn't the most elegant way to do this as I have seen folks get very fancy and find ways to create supports that are more hidden and conform to the shape of the prop but you could still use the clips any way you want. I just found the Tees to be very helpful as they allow me to keep longer and stronger segments of PCV pipe vs multiple small pieces that have more joints and possibly weaker
