This is a MouseMover. It is designed to periodically move your mouse to keep your computer from going to sleep. There are numerous alternatives but none of the ones I found met my needs. I needed something that was completely stand alone from the target machine. That meant no software to be installed or run and nothing could be plugged into the USB.

This uses a 28BYJ 48 stepper and driver. These are easily found on Amazon, ebay and various other places for just a couple of dollars.

I used an Arduino Pro Mini (5 volt version) that I had laying around but others would work as well.

I'm powering my unit from a USB power adapter/charger but any 5VDC power supply that can source 250mA should work.

Two M4 x 5mm screws are needed to mount the stepper
Four M4 x 12mm (or longer) are needed to assemble the pieces of the box together.
