I extended my prior project (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2917604) to make the joint amendable to manipulation via wires. This could be used in a robotic finger joint etc.
The parts are designed such that they can be stacked, for movement of the tip in more than one axis.
Currently the idea is that two units would be glued together providing left-right and up-down flexion. However, with the access holes, there isn't much room for the glue to go.
So I supply models designed with interlocking notches or crenulations between the top and bottom units to aid fusion.
I included a combined unit that could be arranged in chains. Unfortunately, I don't think I could achieve successful printing with my current printer, so I can't show a photo of an actual object.
