Mr. Coffee Miser

Keeping in mind the very hot water involved while making coffee, this partition generally doesn't get into the stream of water much. I used a soft Nylon filament for flexibility and heat resistance. Flexible and firm material produces a functional finger press holder for the paper filter, a crisp plastic could leave broken plastic shards in your coffee : \
This has been designed to fit the older Mr. Coffee brewer but it might be possible to resize it to fit other size coffee makers.
Generally, it seemed apparent that our coffee maker was wasting grounds and being inefficient. This partition keeps the grounds together where the hot water can do the extraction better. With this partition I can use about 20-25% less - about 3 rounded tablespoons of grounds for 4.5 cups of water for a medium rich brew.
