I started with the Mini Maker 3MF files and used those dimensions as a foundation to create my own unique twist: Mr. Maker Head. If you grew up loving Toy Story or remember the original launch of Hasbro’s Mr. Potato Head, this design is sure to spark some nostalgic memories. So far, I’ve created interchangeable eyes and mouths to give the face some fun, expressive variety. The body isn’t quite support-free yet, but I’m actively refining it. Upcoming additions include feet, arms, and a print-in-place hinged back/body combination for easier assembly. For this build, I printed the body and back plate using ERYONE matte olive green PLA, the faceplate in carbon fiber ASA, and the eyes and mouths with SUNLU white Elite PETG. Everything was printed on a 2024 Ender 3 V3 SE using a 0.4mm nozzle and a 0.2mm standard layer height. Total print time was approximately 5 hours, including time spent switching filaments. While the design is still a work in progress, I’ll be posting updates soon. I’m excited to see what the Creality community creates with it!Updates: 1) Added files for Body PIP with back plate, so now the back plate is on a hinge. 2) Added Right and left shoulders, arms, and hands. All these parts should be reoriented to sit well on the build plate with no supports.Slow and steady wins this build.
