A simple face shield frame design to use with thin (0.8mm to 1.0mm) acrylic sheets and rubber bands (and ear protectors if you desire).
Carefully cut the shield material with a heated blade guided by a straight edge (12" to 12.12" by 9.5" to 10". Drill a 1/4" hole 1.5" away from one of the long edges, halfway between the two short edges (so at ~6" from a short edge, 1.5" away from one of the 12" edges). You can profile the two bottom corners of the shield with a guide and the same heated blade. I used a small 5 lb weight as a guide for the curved cut.
To assemble just push the center peg of the frame through the hole you just drilled, then tuck the two edges into the frame. Add a large rubber band or two smaller rubber bands with the ubiquitous ear guard in between. That design is found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4202906/files
