After doing the remix of Isi8Bit's Minimal Waves design, I decided to try something new with the multi-colored layered design. Snowflakes seemed like a good idea :)
I came up with two designs and it's the depth of the parts of the earring and color changes between layers that allow the snowflakes to be white while the border is silver.
I had some issues with the smaller snowflakes not filling in all the way so my solution was to reduce the Outline Perimeters to just 1 so it filled in more. If you have issues after that, you can increase your Outline Overlap to 35%. I actually do this most of the time because a lot of my prints are fine and need that extra overlap to get filled in.
You also need to do color change pauses after the 1st layer and after the 7th layer in order to get the right colors. I use Simplify 3D so I just had to add:
{REPLACE "; layer 2, Z =" "M600\n; Color Change, Z ="}
{REPLACE "; layer 8, Z =" "M600\n; Color Change, Z ="}
In the Scripts tab.
