Multi-Cord Wrap

The product displayed above is the newly designed Multi-Cord Wrap for travel. Have you ever gone on vacation and decided to bring some of your devices along with you? Bringing multiple devices results in the need for having multiple charging cables. Along with these cables, comes the hassle of having to untangle each and every one of them from the other in order to use it. If you have ever experienced this problem then the Multi-Cord Wrap is just the solution for you! The product was created with the use of a CAD program called AutoDesk Inventor in Bergen County Academies under the supervision of educator Mr. DeFalco. The design originates from a similar “cord wrap/ earphone phone organizer” made by ORE-ORE. The original design was improved upon by adding more sections to hold a larger quantity of charging cables. The dimensions of the Multi-Cord Wrap are 4.5in by 3.7in by 0.2 in. It was designed by making a 2D sketch of the front face using many arcs and ellipses to create a basic model. Then it was extruded by 0.2 of an inch and mirrored to add more sections for cords. Finally, fillets were incorporated to round each edge enough to be smooth and compatible with sliding in and out of one’s bag for travel.
