I really liked the idea of Supeso to build a street puzzle for his kids and wanted one for mine, too. :-)
Since there were some minor details i would have liked to change, I redesigned his idea in openscad giving some of my thoughts into it.
These were:
- double puzzle nose, so any part will fit any other part in any direction (where the road is)
- street marks are printed directly on the board, I don't have an airbrush..
- holes in the corners allow to put traffic signs on the board.
BUT: I don't have that many parts to print- I love your fire station ;)
My parts are
- straight road,
- 90 degrees curve (fits in any direction),
- t crossing
- crossing
- long and short stakes for traffic signs and barriers/fences
all parts have a base of 100x100mm (plus puzzle teeth) and each road is 2x40mm wide which fits a normal 1:76 car
Edit: Added a dead end :-)
