I was inspired by TurboDork's ingenious peg system for making this fabric extensible. However, I wanted to use it for applications that went beyond a flat surface. For that I needed tiles that weren't just squares or hexes.
To address that I created an OpenSCAD program to create tiles of any number of sides. I went ahead and made most of the values parameters, including if it was solid or pegged. I then put a customzier on it.
Although the customizer supports printing sheets (of 4, 6, and 8 sided tiles), it takes OpenSCAD a very long time to render them. You are probably better off turning the basic tile into a sheet in your slicing software.
The three sided tiles are currently flawed. It is included for demonstration purposes. There is no practical limitation on going beyond 8 sides. I just haven't test that high.
It is fairly smart about sizing the loops and rings, but not perfect. When adjusting sizes much away from the defaults, check closely to make sure there is still clear
