Neil deGrasse Tyson

Neil deGrasse Tyson (born October 5, 1958) is an American astrophysicist, author, and dynamic science communicator whose childhood fascination with the stars in New York City propelled him to earn a physics degree at Harvard and a PhD in astrophysics from Columbia. His research on the structure and evolution of the Milky Way and stellar formation has informed both academia and public outreach.
